Imagine that stress is coffee in a cup.
In normal times there might be a little coffee in the cup, and when we encounter daily stresses and challenges it increases the overall volume, but the coffee stays within the cup.
The stresses of 2020 have increased the volume of coffee in the cup. So what happens when you pour in more daily stresses and challenges? It pours over and people become overtly stressed and anxious.
This can lead to decreased efficiency in the short term and increased sickness in the long term, if as leaders we don't put the right things in place to support people.
